Dear all,

I joined the club very recently with a c line electric and I need your opinion on this. When I controlled my new bike I realized two things. The cable going into the battery lock part is lose and the cable going into front lights are visible. Is this normal? I am a bit hesitant to ride my bike under rain. Curious what you think?

Thanks a lot!

The light cable should be shrink wrapped to protect it and the other cable shouldn’t be overly loose either.

As far as the lighting cables are concerned it’s normal. The wires visible have their own sheath to protect them from the elements. My g line electric has the same and is ridden in all weathers with no issues.

For the cable to the battery it depends what you mean by “loose”. If it looks wrong it’s worth taking the bike for a proper inspection. If it’s new any issues should be covered by the warranty.

  3. I don’t know what’s normal or not on the electric but surely that black plastic part that the cable is slipping out of is some kind of cable strain relief? If the cable isn’t in there properly, the cable would be under more strain and likely break faster.
