I wanted to share my new bike.
This is a Mondonico EL-OS Monostay from 1992-1993. Mostly Campagnolo C-Record with some tricked out bits. It was originally made for the owner of a shop and he definitely upgraded a few things. The Super Record pedals are the titanium spindle version, for example. It has all the old Campy bling, like the branded headset spacer and branded bearings throughout and it wouldn't be complete without the Delta brakes and tubulars.
It's a pretty special bike with an awesome history. I'm really happy to have it and it'll be back on the road soon.
It's getting a fully complete overhaul. I've stripped everything off the frame and am in the process of rebuilding each component from the ground up. Every single nut, bolt and screw is getting removed, fully cleaned and restored to the best condition I can.
I've also done 3 stages of paint correction so far. I'll perform minor touch-ups & some stabilization, followed by a buffing & polishing + a high end ceramic coating. All the components will be ceramic coated as well.
Gotta track down some silk cased tubulars and a few other bits, but it will be as perfect as I can make it when I'm done.
I hope a few of you might appreciate this thing! It fits me perfectly and I'm really excited to get it together.
