I’ve been organizing the Cambridge run for 13 years. I was 10 years old when the marathon of hope had was happening and I watched it unfold on television and it was just an incredible thing to be part of and it really united the country at the time and just it was an incredible event. So I wanted to kind of keep that going in Cambridge and in Canada basically celebrate the beautiful day of hope with all of these friendly Cambridge people and friendly Canadians. The Marathon of Pope Cancer Center um they do amazing research. The Terry Fox Foundation Institute does amazing research and survival rates have increased. So you have to keep going. You have to keep funding that research and um moving it along until we find find a cure. And that’s the theme for this year is finish it. Terry Fox has done so much to to raise awareness and fund for cancer research. And it’s just a great cause that uh it’s something we just do as a family to to support. I’m here to support those who still fight and are fighting. Anyone who’s been diagnosed with cancer, whether they’re in NE stage or otherwise, are still fighting every single day. And also for those we’ve lost. I love you mom and dad. I miss you terribly. I was uh diagnosed with a very rare um form of breast cancer where the survival rate is quite low and I’m on my sixth year of NED. So very excited. The whole country involved in Terry Fox runs are there for us to raise money but also know that we’ve all we’re not alone. We’re with people who have been affected by the disease. [Music] [Applause]
