I ride from Calitzdorp to Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, in South Africa.
Luckily, my motor is somehow working again this morning, which allows me to easily climbs the first hill of the day. Sadly, as I reach Calitzdorp, my motor definitely dies.
I stop for a typical lunch of the Karoo before reaching smoothly a farm near Oudtshoorn for this short day on the road. Later on, with my mother, we go to visit the beautiful surroundings of Oudtshoorn by car. We climb the wonderful Swartberg pass in order to quickly visit the beautiful town of Prince Albert, at the edge of the start of the real Karoo.

in the Little Karoo! And today, we’re gonna go
to Oudtshoorn. Very hard to pronounce. I don’t see the link between the letters

with two short, steep climbs. And hopefully, I’ll have
a motor for these climbs because, without the motor, I don’t think I can ride

because the motor barely works. Maybe I’ll give her most of my weight

of civilization before the emptiness. It’s really a lovely little town. So, while we are enjoying
the beauty of Prince Albert, and the beautifully sculpted old trees, I start to have some news. So I contacted both Shimano and AZUB
and… Shimano in South Africa. And everyone is… I don’t know. It seems I’m gonna have a solution,
maybe in Plettenberg Bay or Port Elizabeth. I don’t know which one, but…
So I’m very happy because… Yeah, it seems there will be a solution. And I should be able to continue

and not to stop after three episodes. Anyway, so I’ll see. Maybe AZUB will send me one motor. Maybe Shimano South Africa
will send me one motor, but it will probably take some time

for us French to see Pienaar, because Pienaar is a not-so-

It’s really for rural people. And you have the old, beautiful
Central Hotel here. It’s a very, very, yeah, Prince Albert is
a very lovely small town. My mother was saying it might be… With Hermanus, it’s probably
the most beautiful city we’ve both seen in South Africa. Really lovely. Everything good? – Yes.
