[Music] Hello there and welcome back to the channel. And today I am back on the AI Denner to give it a full battery endurance test by going up Great Dumbfell the highest pave road in Bum UK. But obviously I don’t think it’s down as the official on the audit survey but this is at least 200 m higher than the one they’re saying the one up Scotland. So yeah, just going to give this a full test out, full see how well the motor can do and see if we can get over the top of them white domes on the top of the mountain. So let’s go. I’ll sit on my chest and we’ll get climbing. Let’s go. So my computer just looks a full screen of red. So not looking good. And typical I’ve got a headwind the direction I’m going uphill. Great stuff. Yeah. But if you seen my uh review on the uh Denn uh my last video uh take a look if you haven’t. My first ride review took up Hanosa Pass and I thought the the NO did absolute fantastic. So be interesting how it gets on here today. So I’m uh 15 minutes in and I’ve done 500 ft of climbing already. I’m already here. It’s absolute fantastic this morning. Oh, the gates are shut. That’s a shame. So, with them fences being shut, imagine the workers out on the top. And that means it’s going to be a bit of a nightmare descending cuz I’m going to have to remember where they are. Yeah, a good one. Cheers. So, I don’t know if it’s showing you on camera or not, but I’m doing 11%. And uh I’m out of breath really. And the motor is just eating 11%. I still got two gears left and all the big really ones. Climb, climb, climb. See that red coming up? Got a bit of flap before that though. [Music] So the dorm looks like you can touch it now from here. Up the gears too slow. So you can more or less touch the dome from here. It feels like it. But I know for a fact near the end there’s that horrible 20% horrible bit. So I think the D will do the business. [Music] So So I’m 22 minutes in and uh I’ve done over 1,000 ft of climbing. I mean that is just crazy when you think about it. But this Denner just does whatever you want it to do. Absolutely brilliant. I’ve used two batteries late, but I’ve had it in boost from the bottom and it’s pulling up this 18 storm, man. So, yeah, let’s get further up. Yeah. So, I’ve just come down hill a little bit now, and you just see the top of the dorm there, and this is where it uh ramps up big time. And uh yeah, it curls around there. Then, even when you get around that corner, there’s still quite a lot of climbing to do. So, I’m going to get you on me chest. We’ve come up so far. I mean, I’m not joking yet. I’m 28 minutes in and I’ve done 1,00 200 ft of climbing. So, I mean, absolute epic. I mean, you get the view and I’ll show you that when we get to the top. So, a bit more climbing and let’s go. How to climb Great Dumbfell and not be out of breath. Get a Denner, stick it in boost and let it take you up there. Absolutely fantastic. I’m obviously still using me leg power. It’s just I’m probably in a zone two now, maybe. That’s why I’m not out of breath. So, I’m still exercising. It’s just hell of a lot easier. Oh, I think that’s near the worst of it. A little sting in the tail, I think, coming. But other than that, it’s all right. I got up to 23% then. That little bit there. Well, it’s hidden from the bottom. It’s a lot killer, but not what this den isn’t. Get the gears up cuz you can start getting the views now. It’s absolute stunning. Yeah, it’s open. Happy days. We have to worry about one gate. One gate then. So, it’s crazy windy at the minute. All right. Very. This motor helps. help. Yeah, still hard though. That’s 20% bit. I’m nearly there. I’m still building the second dorm. I don’t think there’s any workers up today. So, another achievement gone. I go up this in a few months ago on the uh anway bite and that had some power on it and all but no way I did it as quick as this. 40 minutes elevation showing 2,245 ft. Uh I think I was already 800 ft up where the car is. So, I’m almost certain you do around 2,000 ft of climbing from knock. So, yeah. Here we are. Great donell, the dorms. [Music] Absolute epic. It’s just really windy. Oh, the wind is crazy up here. Unfortunately, I cannot get the drone out. It’s too high risk. The drone could go into the dorm or anything. Uh, that’s a shame. But the denner did absolute fantastic. And I just want to show you this here. That’s green cow tan or reservoir. I can’t remember the full name of it. I’ll put it at the bottom, but a few probably about a month ago, I did a gravel ride to uh hike up Nicknik from there and I’ll put it at the end of this video and you can have a watch of that if you want. That’s when I took the AB again uh to it and it was absolutely fantastic. But yeah, I’ll put that at the end of the video. But yeah, the Denner absolute fantastic. It really is an absolute super power machine. I mean, I just come all the way up there and I wasn’t out of breath. I mean, even when I come on the Enware bike, I had to stop about three times cuz I was there. Absolute blowing on that all the way up. not coming off. The only time I come off is to stop stop and start the drone and that was it. But I didn’t need to stop. I could have cut flow up there and 40 minutes. Her used half of the battery. So, let me uh want to get back to the car and have a look and see what else I can do because I might as well use the other half of that battery. So, I didn’t realize basically I thought it might have took the whole battery up cuz the way bike totally zapped when I come up. But that battery is fantastic. Take an 18 stone man up here. 2,000 ft of climbing. You know what’s that? That’s about 600 meters. I know it says 3,500, but that’s on eco mode. I’ve just blasted up there on boost. So, and I’m probably double the size of a They’re probably going for a nine stone, 10 stone man, aren’t they? So, so yeah. So, another eight stone. So, we got half battery left as well. So, if you I’d say if you you’re probably going to get 1,500 m of climbing if you’re the same sort of size as me and you whack it on boost constantly. Uh, but I imagine eco mode I probably I’d probably be touching the 3,500 m. So, yeah. Right now for the descent. I do apologize there’s no drone footage, but it is absolute crazy windy. I’m not even joking you. So, yeah. Hopefully when I get down in that divot, I can get it back out again when I’ve got a bit of shell. So, let me get on your chest and let’s get down. [Music] Show show me [Music] show [Music] Again, I just want to thank Wheelbase for lending me this bike and uh letting me take care of it for a month or two. See, I’ve made a month to two. But uh anyways, as long as I can try and get me videos I want to do in and then but definitely check out the website I put in the description. Wheelbase, they’ve got some fantastic products. It’s a fantastic shop if you are in the Lake District and you want to go and visit it. It’s in Stavely near Kendall. I mean, look at the view. You got the full the whole lake district right in front of you there. Right from the bottom constant fells all the way up to Blancafra. So, I’m nearly back at the car now. I didn’t really get any speed going down like I’d like to, but the wind is absolute crazy. I promise you, like I’ve said a million times, but it is. There’s no way I’m risking killing myself. I reckon you get quite fast down there, these tires. I mean, wow, what a bike that was. And uh I absolutely love doing Great Dumbfell. Uh I had a couple of fail failed attempts when I first started me cycling journey, but the last couple of times I flew up with the ebikes that is. But uh I need to get the canyon up here cuz I absolutely love just just love going up there. It’s just amazing. Yeah, like I said, I apologize. There’s no drone footage. or very there was a bit going up but at the top there’s just no chance I could get it out. Uh it would have been my fault if it went then. So yeah. Uh take a look at my uh first ride review of this if you want to know anything about it. It’s not obviously I’ve only had it a couple of days so it’s not like it’s a full expert review but it’s uh taking out honest to pass and trying it out and letting you know what it feels like. But before I give it back to Wheelbase at the end of the month, I will do a full review after I’ve rode it for a month and uh let you know everything I uh possibly can about the bike. So, like I said, like and subscribe so you don’t miss anything about this bike cuz this is what it’s going to be for the channel for the next month. Hopefully two if I can uh persuade them for letting me keep it a bit longer. But yeah, thanks for watching and I think it’ll be gravel next time. Let me try gravel.

  1. Great video Dave. Looks like your saddle height is too low judging by your sitting position and leg extension view. If your seat were slightly higher your would not rely on your leg power so much and be more efficient. May be you need a bike fit to find your optimal settings. You will blow your knees out eventually and build the lactic acid in your legs too quickly. Just saying.

  2. Thinking of getting one next year but I would prefer to
Get rid of the mountain bike switch on handlebars and have blips under the hoods so you know if that is possible? And loves watching you achieve that it’s amazing. 🤩
