It’s day eight and we’re just west of Bordeaux cycling along the coast. Mrs. Fras has gone to see if she can find the sea. So, welcome to the daily drone. Today’s drone footage comes from some of the 50 mi of lovely flat cycle path that we cycled on. It was one 10 mile stretch of main road, but apart from that, it was very pleasant cycling all day. I didn’t get to see the sea all day, although Mrs. Crusader did find it when she went for her sea hunting expedition. I couldn’t help noticing how grumpy all the psyches cycling towards us were. So, I decided to try and cheer them all up with a big smile and a cheery bonjour. About one in 10 responded with a smile and bonjour back, which means according to my stats that France is 10% happier if I’m cycling in it. Highlight of the day was cycling along this charming lake. When low light was when the drone decided to attack me and gathered to shore, I couldn’t face another creamy cake. So my cherry bri got thrashed by the chocolate clair. After 8 days cycling, we made it a long way down France. And tomorrow is planned to be our longest day. So Spain is now in sight.
