Would anyone know the approximate age or period of production, based on the components visible? Seller wants around 80 percent of the price of a new one in my country (based off of what I could find from a quick google search). I have yet to inspect it in person.

Ask seller to send you a picture of the serial number – often at back of the seat tube, just below the saddle. Serial number first two digits is year of mfr, afaik.

I’m no expert but those are last gen shifters, the bunny ears type, so it’s either a pre 2017 C line or an A line which apparently still uses them. A lines don’t come with mudguards so maybe it is an A line, actually it has old style brake levers too.
Either way it’s something you may be able to use to negotiate a lower price, it’s basically last gen components.

It’s really similar to my 2 speed, which I bought in 2012. It also has the same hub dynamo lighting system.

If you decide to go look in person, look at the first two digits of the serial number. That will tell you the year it was made typically.

ask for serial number from seller, run it on bike theft database. if it comes clean, refer to the first two digits on the serial numbers, these are manufacturing year of the frame.

The crankset is pre-2013 but it is indeed like new condition. It should be priced less than 50% of the current MSRP. Back then the retail price of a Brompton is around $1200. BTW, that dynamo light is useless.
