Kirkkoharju Observation Tower – Kangasala
The funky Kirkkoharju Observation Tower, built in the 1930s, is one of Kangasala’s best-known attractions. Located just outside the city center in the Kirkkoharju hiking and recreation area, the tower offers stunning lake views in three directions.
Next to the tower, the Kirkkoharju Café serves fresh pastries, donuts, specialty coffees, ice creams, and soup lunches year-round.
Kirkkoharju is lively throughout the year with concerts and other events. In winter, ski trails start from the tower, while in summer, extensive hiking and cycling routes connect to Sorola, Kyötikkälä, and Tampere’s Niihama and Kauppi.
