Less than a month ago, tired of lugging around my heavy and fat MTB and with the idea of fitting a front rack to stop my back sweating, I bought the Elops Speed 500 from Decathlon.

This inevitably increased its wind resistance.

Anyway,
I reduced the rotational weights by exchanging the front wheel (Touring Mach 1) for a DT Swiss P 1800 Spline 23, original 32mm tyres for Pirelli Cinturato Vélo 35mm and inner tubes for Ridenow TPU.

By placing them precisely, I was able to fit Crudracer Mk3 mudguards.

First, I wanted to change the fork so I would have kept the first wheel, but it was impossible to find one with the same characteristics and lightier.

Also the crankset and bottom bracket were known for being of poor quality and very hard to dismount, which I've seen it for myself after cycling 55 kms and mounting my Miche Pistard 2.0 chilled in the fridge on a BB-R9100 (yes, Dura ace).

The cranks have gone from 170 to 165mm, and the chainring from 44 to 46 teeth, so I've raised my saddle and lengthened my chain.

All I have to do now is wait until I receive my integrated carbon handlebars, and my bike will only weight 200g heavier compared to the original model, with more wind resistance but better performance and I believe, same confort (It may not look like it, but it is).
