It’s a very pleasant little village. There’s all you need. No big shops. Lots of independent boutiques and traditional shops like in the good old days The tourist information office is always a good place to start to see what there’s to do in or around the town ‘L’Hôtel de Ville’ is the town hall. It’s not at all a hotel where you can stay. It’s an administrative building You would get married here Here’s one of the little village squares with a typical fountain The hôtel where you sleep This is the high street Here we’re in front of the chemist’s for medicines, and pharmacists are always there for health advice When you’re ill, you go to see the doctor, and often there are also nurses at the medical practice Hairdresser’s. There are hairdressers for men, women or sometimes it’s mixed This one is mixed so it’s for men and women This is the beauty salon for those who need a makeover It’s a grooming salon for dogs Here’s a jeweller’s The greengrocer who sells fruit and vegetables Look at the beautiful pastries. They look delicious Here’s the butcher’s for meat Then there’s the pork butcher’s for ham and sausages for example And then the deli for cooked dishes with flowery shirts Your favourite shop This is the estate agent’s to buy houses and flats or alternatively to rent houses and flats with leisure boats for scuba diving Swimming costumes are not allowed These are boats for hire but of course you need a licence A back street with restaurants So, are you offering? Yes, but not here. On the waterfront In Lavandou there are restaurants next to the beach like this one where you can eat and hear the sound of the waves …and the cars Everything was very, very good Excellent So all there remains to do now is to have a little snooze on the sandy beach We’ve been coming to the Riviera for years We thought we’d discovered the most beautiful spots, but here… this is a real find It’s not bad
