Yo, what’s up everyone? Right, time is of the essence. So, we are recording whilst I’m getting ready. We’re in that weird time of the year where I get really antsy about getting outside because you can feel that the nights are getting shorter, longer, daylight’s getting shorter, you know what I mean? And uh yeah, I just start getting really itchy to be out. So, sitting in traffic for an hour on the way over here wasn’t ideal. Anyway, what I wanted to talk about was I don’t know where my Allen keys are. Still not sure where they are, but I’ve got my spare set, so we’re all good. What I wanted to talk about was it is Kappa Enduro in two and a half weeks. It is Kapuro finals and it is back here at Vbakan. Hey, pigs. This park is quite special to me. Um, long-term viewers will know why. But one thing that I think is really cool about this place is it’s a proper by riders for riders park, you know. Um it’s dig days that keep this place going. It’s not it’s not big money or anything like that. It’s dig days that keep this park running. And uh this race will do a lot for the park uh going forward. And these places in Stockholm are rare. So as a as a race community, let’s support them. But that’s enough of me chatting. Let’s go and show you the tracks. Okay, so we just had a chat with Matias about what tracks we should be expecting this uh this race. It’s going to be the classic Kaplanuro and Jotland and enduro format which will be four tracks each ran twice. It’s going to be a good race and there’s going to be some fresh sections. Uh yeah, but you’ll see. Tell you what I’m going to do though. I’m gonna go have a run on each of these tracks first, get my head around what’s going on, and then I’ll do another run where I’ll talk you through what’s coming up and we’ll go from there. Sound good? Yeah. Nice. Let’s get this one ticked off straight away. So, this one kind of known as Alex the age. Has many names though. And the bottom section really has options. So, there the goal is just to get out as open as you can. It’s a little gap there. that. Oh, there is so much support there now. Wowza fun. And that is really sketchy. Just gets sketchier and sketchier. And then you’ve got the bridge and it’s a little bit damp underneath. So, she does feel a bit sketchy. They’ve opened up or done a lot of work on the the straighter section, which I guess if he’s done the work, we’ll use this one for the race. Oh, it’s so so sick. We’ll be doing some more laps on that. Oh my god. Yes. But I’m only going to show you the first one. Uh, but that’s going to be a short track in the race, but you know, it’s going to be just a spicy spicy sausage. Let’s check on pigs. Hey pigs, tell the people on the vlog how you doing? You all good? Yeah. All right. The next track we’re going to preview for the capital is going to be the green bridge. So, let’s do it. This is my first run. I know I said I was going to do a little run to get warmed up, but honestly, I just want to get these filmed and done, show you guys what awesomeness is coming up, and then then I can just ride. You know, this has opened out a bit more down here since the last time we raced. These BMS are a bit bigger. There’s a few less trees. There’s a few more hip jumps. Obviously, you know, hip jumps aren’t probably optimal for racing. Um, I don’t actually think we’ll take that jump in the race. We’ll probably be coming over. Yo, coming over the pipe back there. Then we drop in here into Green Bridge. start to get to the best part of the track. And it’s changed so much over the years, but ultimately comes down to this section. And it’s about getting off the brakes, keeping her in a straight line, and just feeling it. And that one’s so greasy. I think this is probably one of the better enduro training tracks in Stockholm cuz it kind of has a bit of everything and if you really want to attack it, you got to get a bit of a sprint in there. Uh but yeah, that’s going to be a great stage in the race. I think it always is a fantastic stage in the race. Okay, so after a bit of racer input, um the real gnarly stage, like if we are going to use it or if they are going to use it, the recommendation from me anyway is that they use it for like a one-off stage. It’s quite steep and I think that it’ be such a low percentage of riders that are actually going to be able to ride that uh not just comfortably, but safely. Um so we’ll see what they want to do with that. Um, we will take the alternative. Starts right next to it. And uh, it’s it’s a Kapla Enduro Classic. It’s been cleaned up a little bit. Might do a couple of runs on this today. Ignore this top grass. This is going to get trimmed. Very hard to see at the moment. I remember being here digging this track all those summers ago. Absolute classic vehicle back in racetrack. You can see straight away it’s had more done to it. So much more support coming out there. More support than I’m really used to. The shrimmer will be out on the track. So don’t sweat it too much. Right now it looks a bit overgrown, but it will ride a lot better. Oh, a lot of the holes have been filled. Oh, that feels way nicer. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay. And actual support in the turns. Wow. That’s fun. So the track will actually turn around this tree and down here, not out there. Okay. So the preview that I was going to record for this, the file was a little bit corrupted, so I couldn’t use it. So instead, you’re getting a training run that I did on this track a bit later in the day. You’re going to see pretty much how I would attack this track if it was a race run. Scrubbing the jumps a bit more and just really kind of letting it go. While I’ve got you here, let’s talk about it. I think Back will be a fantastic place to end the series. I think it’s for me personally I think it’s it’s as good as enduro gets in Stockholm with the accessibility with the lift and the variation in the tracks and it’s become a bit of a classic right the finals in beak and it just works well this section is going to have a little bit of a clean up before the race and in here oh it gets spicy this bit I remember when it was first unveiled us to us in the rain in 2019 god it was scary but now doesn’t feel quite so uh quite so intimidating. Um but it’s going to be a good race. Make sure you check out all the information about the event on either their website or on Instagram and let’s try and get get some people signed up and uh end the season on a high with a capital enduro there.
