May I present my 3 beauties from 3 decades of cycling. An August Stukenbrok No. 1 Model from 1912, a cheap Welt-Rad from around 1924 and a Stricker from 1938 with a 2-Speed Gear Hub.
The two oldest one are full restorations created from fragments. Small metal works (polishing and nickel plating), all the painting and pine striping done by me, larger repairs involving welding done by friends and professionals.
The Stricker is in original condition, except for the pin striping which had to be redone as the original color somehow separated from the base layer and could be wiped off with a wet towel.
All three cycles are in a perfectly ridable conditioned are taken out on a regular basis for rides on sunny days. The Stricker being a daily commuter for going to work.
