Hello people and other analytical individuals. This is episode five of our pleasant and accident-free trip along beautiful small roads in the eastern part of Serbia. Now this is Vladichin Khan. Let’s see. They even follow the signs. It seems a normal and pleasant place. Now, I understand this stop. But that stop?! And now turn your attention to that white car in front. Here Now here a woman walks and opens the door. She crossing, won’t look around for anything. No, she is in her living room! Does anyone know what school means on written on the lane? I’m very curious. And here we drove slowly and for a long time. Everyone stops where it is convenient for them and it looks quite congested. All with small motorbikes and scooters are without helmets at all. They are having fun. This little road is actually quite a busy road. Here is an impressive bridge. I guess it’s the highway from Nis. And on a whim, there on the wall I saw an interesting graffiti and turned three times to read it. It says “Undertakers”. I have no idea what this is. Some gang or team. If anyone knows, I would be very curious to share what this means. “Undertakers”, a very cool send-off from the city. Bye, gravediggers! Now we continue here and actually all the way, really all the way to Surdulitsa, the villages flow into each other. It’s just that the plates are in the same place. One ends, the other begins. Normal villages, in the heat look nice. Now, these two cars are overtaking each other and a kitten ends up in the middle of the center line. We stopped because two more cars were coming from behind and we just blocked. We stopped so the kitten could cross. It made me very uncomfortable, but there is absolutely nothing we can do at this point. What should we get off the bikes, pick it up, lift it to the curb? How about we take it with us, right? In a sense, there is nothing you can do. As much as it was unpleasant for us, we continued and anyway we will drive at a speed suitable for populated areas. I plan to exercise our imaginations. What will it be this time? I remember an interesting conversation with friends that we had on a lovely summer evening by the fire in a wonderful mountain place. So the topic was about the difference between before and now in the acquisition and preservation of knowledge, that is, information. Before all the current digital wonders became a reality, people had to make a huge effort to acquire knowledge in order to use it for a lifetime in their daily lives or in their professions. That is, our brains, with all their billions of synaptic connections, were set up to have a lot of hard drive and little RAM to manage that information. Now, with today’s Internet search engines and smartphones, where we have our faces buried for 16 hours a day, the information we need to understand something we have never heard of is a few clicks away and to open a parenthesis in this reasoning, I am not even including artificial intelligences, because they are already taking things to a whole other level. I close the bracket. That is, with the easy access to information and storage, and somewhere in the clouds, the human brain has to readjust. Now it already needs a lot of RAM to operate well in the ocean of infinite information and a little hard drive to remember what to do in the next five minutes. It’s still not fantasy. These are logical thoughts. As we already know, the human brain is an infinitely powerful organ. And what might happen in evolutionary terms in, say, the next 100, 500 or even 1000 years, if we even survive as a species until then. And now let’s start fantasizing! Let’s say that a large part of the former hard disk is converted to RAM, but still another very large part of those billions of synapses will remain idle. In reality, we already have all kinds of electronic wonders around us in space like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and all kinds of microwaves on the 5G network, right? That is, they are already an element of the environment. So let’s say that our brains decided to evolve and build communication centers to be able to use these digital changes in the new reality. In the sense, what is the problem of the brain to set aside some small resource for a bio-router, for example? Let’s say he succeeds. Humanity happily, wirelessly and without interfaces, begins to poke around the web. Yes, but if everyone can dig everything, how do you hide from others what you dig? Or, if not all humans can, then it will lead to inter-species hatred and conflict. And in that we are perfect as a species, right? Nice! Now here we can have fun by throwing some genres into the mix, like cyberpunk, for example. Let’s say the power go down. The ones that can’t function without this connection also shut down, or what? Do they fumble and start pushing themselves into walls like NPCs in a buggy video game or what? Or a comedy, let’s say. Always pure gold. Just imagine the countless comical situations in such a society, and you don’t have to think up and shoot a short with your phone to upload to the web. You just thought about a joke or a practical joke and everyone can see it! Thriller – Just imagine the current parasites and predators of society with this ability. And more and more scenarios are endless. And here you can let your imagination run wild by adding artificial intelligence to the equation. However, we need to consider what stage of development the current digital baby will be at while our brains are evolutionary rewired. So at some stage in the future we will be able to communicate directly with artificial intelligence. A kind of telepathy, but with a consciousness where our current notions of quantum physics and computers would be like caveman scribbles to us now. Well, I leave it up to you to imagine how many billions of possibilities for the development of the human race this fantasy gives.
