Pro-Palestinian demonstrators disrupted Stage 18 of La Vuelta in Valladolid, protesting the participation of Israeli-sponsored team Israel-Premiere Tech. Two protesters were arrested, as riders pressed on with the race.

Pueblo palestino. Aunque se trate de un tema deportivo, el genocidio es tan algo tan importante que entra abarca toda la sociedad y también el deporte. En casos como el Apargate en Sudáfrica se venció gracias al boicot deportivo y cultural. Y el el genocidio en Palestina lo tenemos que parar también a base de no permitir a Israel, a Israel que blanquee, que utilice el deporte para blanquear su régimen de ocupación y su actual genocidio contra el pueblo palestino. No es una guerra, es un genocidio. Israel por Israel. Vuelta la gana Palestina. Es una vergüenza que se blasquee el el nombre de Israel haciendo lo que están haciendo. Al final no vamos contra los corredores, ni siquiera contra los profesionales, simplemente contra un estado que está infringiendo todas las normas de de los derechos humanos y con todo lo que ello implica. En fin, esto tiene que acabar porque es una masacre y [Aplausos] Israel.
