In this first part of my latest Offroad adventure in Romania, we learn exactly how it feels to be a submarine on a BMW GS motorcycle. The rain was unrelenting, but by the end of the day, the word adventure was used to it’s max.

[Music] [Music] we’re about 60 k’s into the journey for today 60 days out of 240 it stopped raining but if you take a look at the at the sky it uh i don’t know what’s gonna happen it might rain it might not drain if we looked on the weather forecast it showed that uh it’s gonna rain the whole day where we were riding but uh as you can see it doesn’t rain here so maybe we’ll get lucky today we are in june county we are uh we’re following a road that was a big jump we’re following a road that is very curvy it’s in a valley it is very pleasant to ride and it goes through all sorts of little villages that seem to have been stuck in time forgotten by time it is the absolute definition of rustic life everything seems to be very clean these look like you know country folk that that work their land it’s very pleasant and humbling at the same time to see the lifestyle they lead here it can be an easy one my main concern today is the rain because while i’m not i don’t have a problem riding in rain i’m not scared of riding in rain i’m gonna ride very slow and i’m gonna have to wear the rain suit which i don’t particularly like wearing because it uh it’s it gets too hot inside doesn’t let anything through so i’d like to take it off in about 60 kilometers halfway of today’s track uh we’re gonna meet that at a restaurant we’re gonna have lunch there and uh that’s when we’ll decide if the organizers will engage plan b of uh where we’re spending tonight if it’s raining most probably we’re not gonna we’re not gonna camp because it’s just gonna be horrible tainting on a on a mountain side it sounds fun but it’s not fun actually it doesn’t even sound fun no not at all so their plan b was that we were gonna skip camping and go to uh to an accommodation they they had booked there but we’ll take a look at the weather in about 60 k’s when we meet up and we’ll have a final decision there [Music] [Music] [Music] we’ve arrived at the off-road uh part of today’s uh track or one of them yeah that that is a big one that’s a big one um the good part is that it’s uh it’s not draining the gods of rain seem to have calmed down it’s dry the not so good part is that i’m not a terrible fan of this type of off-road we’ve got lots of little tiny rocks medium-sized rocks all of it brought down by by uh water by rainfall hopefully not a lot of this today but we are in the middle of the forest and it is damn beautiful so all right we’ve just joined another road and this one seems to be a bit more uh civilized so i don’t wanna [Music] yeah i’m not gonna go and say that was uh illegal logging but that was illegal logging [Music] all right we’ve just arrived in a little village and it seems like from now on it’s another portion of paved roads we’ve done adks out of today’s track so uh that means in about 40 days we should be stopping for lunch and deciding uh if the gods of rain have been uh kind enough to move away from uh from our camping site hike itself hi katel need a break my zoomer thinks i need a break there no petrol station restaurants or roadside services here so uh no zoom i don’t need a break thank you very much for worrying about me what i found extremely useful uh i think from last year sometime is actually staying properly hydrated when you’re doing these sort of like 10 hour long days okay so down for the cow and to keep properly hydrated this little bladder over here where is it it’s gone this one has been has been a savior because with just the water bottle in the top case you think you’re gonna stop and you know have a drink but you don’t actually you stop when you’re already dehydrated and then you drink a lot and then you feel bad but but with one of these uh bladders i think that’s what they call hydro packs you’re a lot less tired during the day because you know hydration is the most important thing [Music] [Music] whatever so [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] all right it’s been a couple of hours now we’ve had lunch uh the gods of the rain it rained in my eye the rain gods uh weren’t with us so we decided we’re not gonna camp today we are on top of a chicken mountain it’s called if you translate it exactly the same it’s very beautiful but it’s very foggy right now so you can’t really see anything we’re going to come back here tomorrow again and then we’ll put the drone up and then we’ll see some very nice scenery but in the meantime i think we’ve got another 70 or so case it’s going to be raining all the time it’s it’s about 10 degrees now so it’s getting uh it’s getting quite cold and if i could actually you know move my smile muscles you could see me smiling but i’m smiling on the inside all right guys this is the end of the first part of the tour it was organized by a local romanian company moto hub rent and tours link in the description below go give them a look if you’re looking for an organized tour in romania as always if you’ve enjoyed this video give it a big 1. Your country sure is beautiful. I have to travel about 90 minutes to get near terrain like that. I live in southern California. This looks like a fun tour.

  2. …….No, I did not buy my GS…… only for THAT, but so far ( and probably in all next future of my biking ) I've mostly, only done that…. – toоk the bike in the woods and dumped it in the mud ……Then other aging people like myself, helped to lift it up, and then I went home and felt myself a great adventurer…..🤣🤣🤣
