Bought the CF SLX 7 AXS SPEED. Removed the Rival groupset, sold it and bought Force. Doing that saved me more than £1,000 compared to just buying the CF SLX 8 AXS SPEED. Plus I got to choose my preferred crank length and gear ratios. I also got the spider based power meter instead of the single sided spindle power meter that comes on the CF SLX 8. Means I get dual L/R power meter readings.

Not my preferred tyre choice but considering I paid for it I’ll run it to the ground before replacing. Canyon recommended a small, my bike fitter, Dan (works for Bike Fit James) recommended a medium with a 10mm shorter stem. Turns out the difference in reach between S and M is only 3mm but medium has a 20mm higher stack. Fits perfectly. 165mm cranks and a 10-36 cassette. 50/37 chainrings.

With big gears, pedals and computer she’s heavy but the stiffness really means I don’t feel it on the climbs. Climbs surprisingly well. Stiff though.
