Hey all. Im completely inexperienced with vintage bikes. I knew that my neighbor had this years ago, and i was going to buy it, but never did. Today, I got home from work and it was sitting with the trash pile on the side of the road. I immediately knew I had to at least try and save it. I remember him saying it was really nice back in the day and that its was pretty expensive for what it was, but I couldn't remember the name. Ive done a little searching and im having a hard time finding a serial number. There is a 0 and a 2 stamped under the crank hub, or center, or axle….im not sure the term here.
I rolled it out into the sunlight just as I found it. Im having trouble finding this weird split top frame piece on anything online. Any help at all in this little journey I've taken on would be greatly appreciated. I would like to sell it either as-is or after a full restoration. Depending on what i hear from the wholesome crowd that is all y'all, I might end up keeping it and running it as a daily. If i can get some good cash for it, I'll do it. If it turns out to be really nice on the cleanup and refresh, I might hang on to it. Offers are definitely considered if you throw it out there.
