I want to inspire others to just do it instead of hesitating and worrying about what will happen. A 17-year-old from Scotland is seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle in Betavia. The Jese County Sheriff’s Office said Ethan Walker was You don’t mind just explaining what happened with your accident? Yeah, I was on a football scholarship over in America in New York. So far, everything was going amazing up until that point. I loved it. It was my dream. I was so happy. And then it all changed that night. So the injuries I had was two brain bleeds and dysfia which means you can’t swallow or eat fractured left hand lacerated lung fractured pelvis fractured tibia torn ACL PCL MSL postal coriscus was flipped. [Music] The next thing I remember is waking up in hospital. I was like, “What on earth happened? How am I here?” Cuz to me, it seemed like the day after I just went home. Then all of a sudden, I just woke up in hospital. I just wanted to get up and go cuz I felt normal, but I wasn’t. He wanted off his crutches. He wanted to mobilize. We were a little hesitant to allow him to do that, but he suddenly did this with confidence weeks after surgery. 8 weeks he was like, “You can start doing slightly more stuff like spin bike.” So I started cycling nice and gently trying to get the movement back. And the most remarkable turning point was 12 weeks after surgery. You’re rar to go. It’s 3 months now since all of that trauma and that multi-legate menu repair of the internal racing. But you’re saying you managed to rejo? Yeah. Wow. That is incredible. Incredible. Fastest recovery ever. Working on it. It was at that point I realized we were dealing with a unique patient. This is a special circumstance. But I was watching him. I was thinking anything’s possible. Had this thought about the euros. So I asked Ethan, I said, “Why don’t we cycle from Hampton all the way to Munich to support Scotland?” It would be remarkable to say I got hit by a car in September and now I’m cycling in June to Germany. So it’s amazing.

To think – all that and he was born in Scotland too. Unbelievable luck
Being young, ambitious and having a good medical team helped with faster healing.

Oh that soft pad to help strengthen your balance! I did that in PT and it looks so nothing but after a minute or two it’s so hard! What a great story! I’m glad he’s doing so well ❤
Never understand how the doctors/nurses catch every injury in an accident that bad
of course it was a driver in the U.S
Amazing! Keep going!
God bless
Sometimes when you're in an accident you don't remember it. But if you only had a concussion like I had when I got run over at 24, I unfortunately remember flying ten foot up in the air and starting to fly across the road, so I just had time to throw my arms out, then I woke on the other side of the road, being tended to. He has remarkably resilience, good luck to him. ❤️
