Looking to buy my first bike. Found this hybrid on Facebook marketplace for $500. Is it worth the price? Here’s the description the seller included:
Grey Trek Crossrip 2 Hybrid 52cm Bike. Shimano Tiagra 10 speed, group set with disc brakes. Fits riders 5'2"-5'9". Excellent condition. Riden 4 times then been sitting in the garage.

I would say yes as there’s just a couple of small scratches, but that is minor as long as there’s no problem with the gears, brakes, peddles & bearings in the crank or headset it should be all good.
Seems a bit high for an 8 year old bike with Tiagra and mechanical disc brakes.
It’s a decent bike and looks to be in very good condition
Maybe offer 350-400
5′ 2″ to 5’9″? How tall are you? If closer to 5’9″, I’d pass. And yes, if it fits, at a lower price.

i wouldn’t pay $500. Ask if they still have the original stem laying around somewhere. The one on the bike is ridiculous and you will want to replace it.
