🚴‍♀️ The plan was grand: 86 km along Kastela Bay, then Trogir, islands, stunning views and romance… sounds like a cyclist’s paradise, right? 🌴✨

Reality: after a short ride on a seaside path that tricked us with the promise of breathtaking views, we ended up on perfect asphalt… in the middle of an industrial zone. 🏭 There we were greeted by the “pleasant” aroma of machine oil – every romantic’s dream perfume. We added a few detours between abandoned buildings and equipment that had clearly taken the day off 📱❌. In the end, we still rode 50 km, but we knew: “This wasn’t going to be our day.”

And then destiny reminded us of Maestro. We had parked right in front of it that morning, thinking “maybe someday”… and after that “magnificent” ride, the restaurant seemed to be waiting for us.

Yes, we were in sporty clothes – about as fitting for this elegant place as wearing a swimsuit to a business meeting 🩳📊. But we didn’t give up – we picked the most hidden table in the garden and pretended to be invisible. 🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♀️

Surprise! We were welcomed with smiles and a gentle hint that “just drinks won’t do”… which was the perfect excuse to dive into tartare, wine and Michelin-level desserts ⭐⭐⭐. Our only regret was that we weren’t hungry enough to order half the menu. Maestro is not to be missed – check their Instagram page and you’ll see why. 📲

Then came the ferry. ⛴️ The cabin was like a true love test: a bathroom door that only opened with a good shoulder or foot push 🚪🤜🤛; a shower that required climbing on the toilet, folded like circus acrobats 🎪🚿. But in those moments, love was everywhere – in the laughter, in the looks, in simply being together. ❤️

And the sunrise made it all worth it – a breathtaking view that turned every absurdity into the most beautiful memory. ☀️🌊

Because happiness is hidden in the little things – if only we allow them to become big. 💫

Now our eyes are already set on the next cycling routes in Italy – carefully researched, dreamed of for months… and promising even more adventures. 🇮🇹✨

Stay tuned – the best is yet to come!

The plan was grand. 86 km along Castella Bay followed by Troier Bay. Islands like BR, Havar, Muette, Uglan, Pog, Kirk, Crest. Although I had many question marks and some doubts about the roots, it all sounded like a cyclist’s paradise. There were truly beautiful little moments when we reached the water, and I’ll show you those. But even the locals confirmed that these places are not really suitable for cyclists. And after 50 km, we knew this wasn’t our day. But Destiny had other ideas. That morning, we had parked in front of restaurant Maestro. We walked in wearing sporty outfits about as fitting for fine dining as swimsuits at a business meeting and chose the most hidden table, pretending to be invisible. And there it was. Smiles, tartar, wine, and Michelin level desserts. Myestro is not to be missed. Check their Instagram page. That day made us change our plan and catch the night ferry from Split to Ankona, Italy, where carefully researched cycling routes and new adventures were already waiting for me. The ferry itself was an adventure, a door that only opened with a shoulder push, a shower performed with toilet acrobatics, but filled with laughter and love, and a sunrise that turned it all into a memory for life. Because happiness is hidden in the little things. If only we allow them to become big. Follow me to see what happened next. Music loud, we lose. With a dream tonight so bright together on this holiday flight vacation.
