(Ok actually from Tokyo to Kagoshima then ferry to Okinawa but it does sound better..)
We planed a bikepacking tour from Tokyo to Okinawa thanks to a bunch of Reddit threads and various blogs. So we wanted to add our contribution to the web, hence our first Reddit post. We created a mix of the northern and southern coast especially around Kyoto / Kyushu.

Just a heads up : we’ll start this week and we might adapt the tour along the way. We might do some updates about our route on Reddit if some of you want to hear about it.
We’ll try to explain a lot of stuff that we found out about online and on the ground (like how easy is it to camp for free, thanks to tips written by Oscar Boyd or the map https://georgegoesbikepacking.com/free-campsites-in-japan/ as well as shared knowledge with travelers that we found along the way / how Trefac Outdoor helped us / how we had to made trashy rinko bags using trash bags on few occasions)… Otherwise you could learn about our trip on insta (@courrierfrom)
