Nala cat battling the elements in Croatia 😻❤️ VLOG #63

After battling with the mud in the last video, Nala and I had to deal with loads of rain and wind this time. Nala was all cosy and warm in her basket, but I was soaked so we spent the night in a B&B. A couple of followers came to meet us the next day, and as it was dry in the afternoon, we found a nice sheltered spot for us to sleep 😴.

We’re Dean & Nala, and we’ve been best friends since December 2018. I was actually cycling around the world when I heard Nala meowing out for me somewhere in the Bosnian mountains. With no intentions of keeping Nala, I knew i had to save the wee kitten and take her to the vet – but I was well aware of the fact that it might be a bit of a challenge considering I only had a bike. However, despite my concerns, Nala quickly climbed out of the front bag on the bike handle and straight onto my shoulder. Since then, we’ve been travelling the world together. Alright guys I hope everyone’s well out there We’ve just left the city, it’s a pretty miserable day so Aye we’re heading towards Zagreb which I think is about 200 miles away And according to the weather forecast it’s to be pretty miserable all week I think we’ve got a good day tomorrow and then it’s to be pretty miserable so yeah there’s probably going to be a lot of hiding up at the top There’s probably going to be a lot of hiding under bridges and Aye trying to stay as dry as we can so Just out giving Nala walk just now and then back on the bike so let’s go I don’t actually mind the rain that much but I just wish the wind would disappear we stopped just before and for the first time in a long time I put some shoes on Crocs are off, gloves are on, got my snood on Just need this wind to disappear now Well it’s absolutely chucking it down so we’re hiding under this fruit or vegetable stall It’s cold, the wind’s cold, Nala’s all wrapped up She’s got her waterproof cover on I felt her just before she’s very warm So it’s not the best day we’re having but I think the plan is we’re just going to hide underneath this see what happens with the rain hopefully it dies down a wee bit and if it does continue cycling and if it doesn’t – I have no idea Sleep here So aye, anyway Brrrrrrrrr Right that is the rain died down so back on the bike It’s not actually the best road for cycling on here it’s pretty There’s not that much room Alright we’re good to go So that’s where we’re heading for – Donji 34 kilometers and then we’ll see if we can find shelter there Let’s go What do you think? Aye so the rain’s getting heavier guys there’s no point in getting soaked So we’re just going to keep cycling we see a lot of bed & breakfasts when we’re cycling so we’re just going to go into the next one and see if we’ve got a room available And aye, just basically get in I’m soaked, she’s dry, it’s not fair on me so Aye let’s find somewhere nice and warm You not wet? So aye this is our room for the night We’ve got 1, 2, 3 single beds and through there we’ve got a wee bathroom So aye, cheap and cheerful 20 pound a night And at least we’re out the rain I mean I was soaked it was, it was one of the rains today where it was just relentless and yeah I was just, I was soaked So first thing I done when I got in here was put all my clothes on the radiator to be dry for the morning You going down? Nope Okay okay So aye we’re going to get an early night tonight I think it’s about 6 o’clock now So a nice early night and hopefully get an early start tomorrow I looked at the weather forecast and there’s to be more rain but not as much so Aye we’ll just wake up tomorrow and see what it’s like eh Anyway good night and see you in the morning Big stretch, should we go a walk? – Thanks so much So aye that’s us just leaving the bed and breakfast just now A couple of our followers came to see us this morning and aye really nice meeting them they gave us a wee present as well some homemade Raki So if it gets cold tonight and we’re camping that’ll be perfect to warm us up Maybe not Nala though because she’s not old enough to drink yet But anyway it’s nice and dry, it was raining a wee bit this morning so It stopped now we’re just gonna crack on and yeah see where we end up tonight Let’s go You coming? So this is what we found for the night, aye it’s a shelter It’s not got like a fence at the side of the road so I don’t know if it’s like the public can use it but I think I’m just gonna come and sleep on that bench here that’d be perfect for me Aye if someone comes I’ll just play stupid Pretend i’m lost I thought this was my hotel So we’re just giving Nala a wee walked just now Should we go down? We could always camp here like a pair of trolls under the bridge Pull me up Ahhhh I’m up Come on then So yeah this is our camping spot we found tonight The end of the road there seems like it’s open up so I’m hoping it’s for public use and it doesn’t actually belong to someone But yeah just gonna put the bike there and then there’s a wee white bench right there And that’s going to be my bed for the night So I’m probably not gona film too much when it’s dark just so I don’t put any lights on and attract attention to us So aye this could be the last one so I will see you in the morning Good night
