The hole where the reamer went must’ve been pre-drilled off camera. A nail creates a tiny hole and the reamer is quite wide. Car tyre rubber is incredibly strong and to create a proper hole using the reamer is very difficult to do and takes awhile.
How come tire shops always remove the tire when repairing holes?
