[Music] Hello, Nigel James, Princess Brokerage International, coming to you on this glorious day from Puertoell’s in Palma de Miora and I’m on board a rather lovely Princess P49. [Music] Here [Music] I am in the cockpit. Very nice, spacious U-shaped seating area with a sizable table. And I’ve got in front of me a cockpit area that would allow easily for a couple of seats to enable us to sit around that table and still have space to move. [Music] Behind me, I’ve got a platform which drops down into the water, and I could, if I wanted to, fit uh something up to a probably a 325 uh meter tender. It’s a nice size family boat. It’s easy to handle. We got IPS drives. It’s spacious. It’s got three cabins. Um let’s have a walk through and I’ll show you a bit more detail. [Music] So, here we are uh in the beginning of the uh main deck area inside the boat. And this is the galley. Point of fact is this galley is big for a boat of this size. Got a lot of floor space here. We’ve got fridges, food fridges on this side, drinks fridges on that side. Got ladder um lauder storage. Nice working areas both sides as well. The hob, the dishwasher. It’s a very nice area. Lots of space and ideally situated between the cockpit and the saloon. So, you can serve in both directions depending on the time of day. We got a flat deck between outside and inside, so no trip points. The hatch we can see here is down to the engine room. Now, this boat, as I said, has got IPS. Um, but what Princess have done on this boat is they’ve split the engine from the IPS drive. So, we’ve got a shaft between the two. And what that means is that the engine is pretty much under my feet here. And the the two pods for the gearboxes are probably um just in line with that table here. And that gives us a nice um it gives us two things. It gives us good balance. Most of the weight is a bit further in the boat. the boat tends to sit with a good trim, not too high on the nose when she comes onto plane. Um, it also releases in the middle of this area quite a lot of space and we get some really good um, storage. And uh, in this particular boat, we’ve got a gyro and uh, that is situated right in the right part of the boat in the middle here. Easy access, still leaving plenty of room to get to what you need to get to and to store things that you might want to carry. Let’s go and have a look at the rest. [Music] [Music] So, here we are in the main saloon. It’s a fantastic space. Again, I’ve got this um cross the boat seating. Something I’m really think is a nice uh nice social feature to our boats. TV pops up behind the seti. But when you’re not using the TV and it’s just social space, sitting across the boat is much more comfortable. Look at our windows. We’ve got big windows deep up to the deck head. There’s a lot of light coming in here. Makes the boat feel even more spacious than it is. got great deck heights. Um, yeah, it’s very nice, comfortable space for six or eight people, no problem at all. It opens out into the helm area here, which we’ll detail a bit shortly. Um, and we’ve got opening windows both sides for natural ventilation when we’re at anchor. It’s a nice comfortable space, and again, for the size of boat, I think it’s uh it’s superb, actually. [Music] So, here we are on the lower deck accommodation. It’s quite nice this area. It’s a sort of sort of atrium here. We get up to the um straight up to the windscreen. So, there’s good light here. And then we’ve got three three doors. We got the bathroom here, which opens out to the forward cabin, but is also shared by this starboard cabin. Forward cabin is a VIP cabin with a good size double bed, good size storage, lots of light, big windows, nice bit of floor space. [Music] The starboard cabin on this boat is slightly unusual to the norm in as much as has a single bunk, but has been laid out largely as utility. So, there’s a separate washer, dryer, some good storage, um, vacuum and things like that. um with the opportunity for one more bunk and then through to the owner’s cabin. Uh couple of steps just here we’ve got a separate bathroom and shower and a nice size cabin that’s actually worth a look in particular I think. [Music] So here we are in the owner’s cabin and what a lovely space we have. It’s a very voluminous area. It’s got great headroom. It’s got walking space around the whole of the bed with quite a bit of space at the end of the bed for dressing, undressing, etc. It’s got this rather comfy sofa. And look at the size of these windows. They’re enormous. Imagine there being uh at anchor looking out at the landscape from here. It’s absolutely superb for a boat of this size. [Music] We’ve got um a very nice uh nice accommodated owner’s combination toilet shower area. It’s completely self-contained and it’s going to make you feel like you’ve arrived. [Music] So, here we are at the helm. Good place to be. It’s a long way forward. We’re uh quite close under the glass there. So, it is well lit. It gives us really good visibility right across the uh the length of the boat. Opening windows pawn starboard. You can see what’s going on, talk to our crew. We got a single screen here which will give us everything from engine instrumentation, radar plotter, and through. We’ve got to bow thruster and being IPS, we’ve got this joystick control as well as our traditional engine controls. It’s nicely laid out. Oh, the gyro, not to forget quite an important aspect on this boat because relatively rare at this age and um yeah, a real game changer. What it delivers in stability and uh and the experience at anchor in particular is just amazing. It’s nicely laid out. There’s a lot of thought goes on here with Princess and if you had a few hours to do, this would not be a bad place to be. Our IPS engines are 550s. That’s probably going to give us the best part of uh certainly approaching 30 knots, if not 30 knots. But it will feel nice on on the on the control. It’ll it’ll do what you would want it to do. And for this sort of boating in the Mediterranean, these waters, it’s absolutely perfect. [Music] So, here we are on the fly bridge. And again, I think we have to remind ourselves it’s just a 15 m boat because this is a big space. It’s also got great height. Look here, I’m sitting in the space and I’m in it. I’m not on it. I think that speaks volumes for your sense of safety when you’re uh up on these areas with the family. We can shut this hatch. We’ve got good secure high railings around us. Got a super bim biminy. It pretty much covers the whole length of the deck. Gives us very good protection. We’ve got this seating area here around this table that opens. And again, with a couple of these directed chairs, we can sit around that table. There’s a barbecue and a sink. [Music] And then opposite the two, there’s a there’s a helm seat slightly forward of us with a navigator seat next to it and then a U-shaped seat to the port side which converts to a crash pad. Um, you know, that is just super social. It’s a family. It’s a family boat and if if a guy is there driving the boat for a couple of hours to IA, people can sit around him and he’s part of the group and part of the fun of the day and all of that in this lovely spacious safe environment. I don’t think it gets any better really. [Music] So, here I am at the helm on the fly bridge. More or less the same equipment as we’ve got below and in the same sort of location, but we have got two big screens up here. So we have got the ability to have separate radar and plotter. So if you are doing a little bit of distance that can be useful. Um the other information that I think is pertinent is that it’s just the one owner from you. It’s been in this port being enjoyed all of its life. I know that he’s got a rich book of history for the servicing and um you know we know about the boat, we know its pedigree. It really is a good example of a boat of the age. Obviously in this film I can’t give you all the all the final detail, but if you go to the website and look at the spec, it is all there. We just got just a bit under 350 hours on the boat. That sort of gives you a flavor for where she is. She’s um she’s a good option and she’s worth investigating. Go and have a look at the additional data on the website. If you feel you want to know a bit more, you can give me a call. I’m Nigel James and we are Princess Brokerage International.
