  4. For anyone wanting to read the comments to enlighten themselves – Cesis and Rundale castles are a must see. Even as a local it is cool to go there. Jelgava – I don't think it is worth visiting. Jurmala – also not really worth it, too touristy. Aglona in my opinion is a bit boring, it just has the huge church and that's about it.

What I love about Latvia, is that you can just drive somewhere on a random road, see a nice forest and just go for a walk. Every forest has some type of paths, either animal made or bigger ones by motocycles. Geocaching can help to find a reason to visit a random forest.

  5. Jelgava and Rundāle palaces were built according to the design of the Italian architect Rastrelli. Another recommendation is to visit Tērvete, where there is a Semigallian hillfort as well as the authentic ''Tērvete'' beer brewery and stud farm.

  6. 😢 How could you miss Daugavpils fortress from the beginning of the 19th century, which is the largest one preserved in Europe? Besides, there is located the Mark Rothko museum. In addition, where else in Europe can you find a Church Hill with operating churches representing four different confessions?
