This is a bad solution. This type of tire can be mounted at least 5x faster by hand. But if you want to mount a 27.5" deep & thick tire, this solution won't even work. So I don't recommend it.
Always put some air in the tube before fitting the tyres to the rim .. just enough to seat the tube into the tyre.. then fit the tyre to the rim by hand and pump the tube. .. this way the tube will not get pinched or leak.
I used to do that when fitting windows in my cars..
