I’ve been using this Velo 2 from Beeline for a month now and I’ve tried a few. This is easily my favorite and if you value simplicity a really good screen that even shines in direct sunlight. I find that it lets me concentrate more on not getting ran down and less on the screen. It doesn’t have any buttons and instead you push down on the glass on the 4 side markings. The red and green ticks are quick to the eye, makes it simple to use while riding. The phone app is also simple with plenty of info and works with strava. One of the issues I have with other navigations is that they’re generally terrible. This one has all the locations I need and plans bike routes, not walking or vehicle routes. Takes away a lot of tension. If you are in the market give it a try.

I use the Velo 2 for my Brompton… That said, I have a Garmin for my road and gravel bikes. It captures more information and is more accurate for training rides.
Still, the Velo 2 is a solid choice if you are looking for a simple device to record leisure/commute rides.
My concern with these has always been the accompanying app – if the company goes under and the app stops working, is the device bricked? Can you manually load in a GPX file with a USB cable from a computer?
I really like the look of this, but doesn’t the phone need to be present with app when using it?
