Day 17 and 18 little video … And after an incredible 2 and a bit weeks, we’re home, sitting on the terrace listening to the night chorus…
.
Today’s ride home from Aix was very steep in places, and very hot too, with some busy roads that we just couldn’t avoid (believe me, I tried)…
.
But there is something incredibly rewarding about arriving home after pedalling us, the tent and everything we needed for our time away, so we feel exhausted but happy…
.
It’s been an amazing time, just riding home through this wonderful country and tying it in with the rugby matches too …
.
Thanks for travelling with us..

Two days in one today. Yesterday morning we got up early, got the train, in fact two trains, and landed in Ach. We sat on the pavement and had lunch before going to the rugby. We lost breakfast this morning in the market before setting off. It was a brutal hilly ride out of eight, but soon we had glorious views back across to Monsan Victto. We cycled across the Durans, had lunch in Tor day and then headed uphill. We had to stop. It was so hot today. We sat in a cafe, had Coke, and they refilled our bottles. I hate Coke. And then it was on again up more hills. But we kept smiling although we did need a sit day. It was hard work but eventually we got to the top of the Lubberon the border between the Alto provence and the B clad had another sit down and met another cyclist and then it was downhill all the way back down to the cycle path and finally home. It’s been an incredible two weeks.
