Luckily we had a short cycle to Dieppe where we had Jacquie’s bicycle brakes serviced. We had planned to stay 2 nights, and this worked out well. The weather was against us, with rain or wind making our journey a little more difficult as we tackled a few rolling hills that included a few 8 degree climbs. This pathway was challenging but also very rewarding.

We think we’ve got Jackie’s brakes fixed. Certainly hope so. And then we ride up the other side to some rolling hills. I don’t sound good, but she’s slowing down, which is very positive. We’re on the top of the cliffs in Dia. I guess we’re on the western side. So, we’re just on the top of the cliffs next to the chateau. And we’ve just realized these are the German gun imp placements. Oh, I hate going down hills because it probably means there’s a hill in front of me. This is nice. This is only one kilometer out of the app, I think, and there’s a village on the hill here. The right hand side has got uh the Normandy coast maybe 1 kilometer might even be a bit less. You need the towns and it’s farming land within a few meters even though they’re significant towns.
