It was buil as an unstoppable journey to his near 200,000 followers. But after traveling 25,000 km across 17 countries, this biker’s round the world epic on two wheels did come to an abrupt halt when it reached England. Yogish Alakari’s trusty motorbike was stolen in broad daylight whilst he went to grab breakfast in Nottingham’s Walton Park. I’m just broken. I was just madly going this way, this way. Everywhere I’m searching if they dump here or dumper there. It’s a shocking for me. It’s quite emotional. It’s my feeling. It’s not my bike. It’s my home. It’s my passion. It’s my soul. The journey began in his hometown of Mumbai 4 months ago. After 118 days, the Indian biker made it through China, the Central Asian step, and Russia without a hitch. His plan was to ride into Africa via Morocco and conclude his trip in Kenya. But it would be Nottingham that became his worst nightmare. Along with the KTM390 adventure motorbike, Yogish’s belongings, including his passport, was stolen. The adventurer expressed his frustration about the UK police. I’m totally unable. I’m asking, I’m calling every day and I got no progress. Every day I call them, they say, “You just wait for the call back.” And I’m waiting and waiting and waiting. They never go back. No. Although Nottingham Shere police say they are taking this case seriously and following multiple lines of inquiry, the statistics suggest Yogesh will never see his vehicle again as he desperately hopes for good news. For now, the biker has had to add another leg to his journey.

  1. The last time this happened it was a man cycling around the world. He did the warzones as well and got his bike nicked in Plymouth if memory serves. We appear to be consistent as a nation.

  2. Ahhh , I see ; but when the obscenely wealthy get robbed it’s “ all hell breaks lose”
Or some building gets scuttled in a “ protest” then it’s “ send in the troops!!” But you or I … meh 🤷‍♀️

  3. I’ve also been around the world numerous times, and the only place I’ve been broken in to, and robbed, and car broken into, is in the UK!
I am so sorry for him, I feel his sadness. If I had money, I’d buy him a new bike, though it would replace his old one & its legacy.

  4. yogesh bhau was living every bikers dream, it is so saddening to see his ,our dreams shattering after reaching this far from our home town…we are sure uk will not disappoint in finding his bike, his essentials back and help him continue his tour..
