[Music] Do you want Do you want me to Do you want me to keep the shoes off? You can keep the shoes off. You’re right. I won’t let him have my feet though. Get the dogs in. Another beach start, which we love. Hopefully a bit of chop in the um in the Bay of um St. Raphael there. So um yeah, should be good. Um yeah, the bike’s fairly uh not too technical. Um yeah, some some tight sections in some parts as well. So yeah, should be a fast overall race and I think there’s, you know, full field of 55 guys lining up as well. So um yeah, there’ll be a lot of competition out there. Obviously the French as well. You can’t count them out and discount them and the the home advantage that that they’ll have as well. So um yeah, there’ll be a few uh few people racing for the uh for the tape um you know come Sunday as well. So yeah, I’ll do my best to try and defend it. And obviously you know nothing nothing but the win you know suits me this weekend. I’ve already got two wins and a second on my belt. So, um, yeah, I know if I can go into to, you know, October in the grand final with with three wins, hopefully, um, I don’t think anyone will be able to wipe the smile off my face come come Wingong. So, yeah, we’ll see. Yeah, like Abu Dhabi is one of those ones where it’s super hard to to know where everyone’s form was. You know, it’s early on season, so it’ll be really nice to see how, you know, how everyone is like post Olympic and it’s a perfect opportunity to see, you know, where everyone is. Uh it’s mid-season, everyone’s firing. So looking forward just to kind of putting my yeah my uh yeah my my name back in the hat and um yeah giving it a good crack and heading into willing gong. Yeah, it’s it’s going to be a tough course as well. So hopefully I can bank some good points and I think yeah um a positive outcome for me would be you know aiming for a for a World Series podium again um instead of yeah I think it’s going to be too hard um maybe potentially out of my reach to go for a series win and yeah even if I did say for example win France and Calvari you know then I’ve got to be pretty much banking on you know three you know Matt Hago and other guys to not have good races which is it’s the odds are, you know, I wouldn’t put all my money on on red, you know. So, uh I think we should just give you the,000 points from ab it would be nice. It would be nice to kind of uh just Yeah, for me a positive outcome would be a would be a podium for sure at the at the end of the series, I think. Yeah, I mean to have the development I mean I don’t know if you can call Batista a newcomer when he comes fifth at the Olympic Games. So I think uh or sick for the Olympic Games, sorry. Um but to have those kind of guys on the circuit, Henry Graph as well. Uh yeah, is is great. I think the sport is evolving. There’s people who are who are coming through changing that dynamic and that’s that’s great. And I think as a sport, we encourage that kind of evolution, that excitement. You don’t want somebody winning winning the race every single time with the same kind of strategy. So, I think that to have those people who have those super strengths in certain areas that are coming through, create create exciting racing and yeah, hopefully we can we can all as as a as a group create create moments which people look back on and and are excited to to kind of look at the sport and maybe start the sport or just even turn it on the TV uh in another another day. I don’t know. Well, you took one one extra step, didn’t you? Huh? You took like one extra step than me and you came out. I took one extra step, but I got collapsed. My dive was like that and I literally like slam like this. I reckon you want to go like super sinky as well. You go. But I went I went super close. You went super early. You went too early. I went too late. I reckon. Yeah, there’s something out there. And we come in between these white buoies or the second lap. I think I’m not sure the second lap of the swim. I think you come up around this ladies and gentlemen. Yeah. And then the red exit over there. Yeah. French Rubier T. We can tell you that. Oh, no. It’s only one lap. Oh, yeah. True. Are you good? Good to see you. I And then just it’s quite hard to see. Yeah. Oh, that might not be there though. That probably won’t be that. Oh, yeah. True. If we like we were before and then it felt really strong coming back in like it was pushing you out. Really quick out then coming back in forward. I don’t know. It it might not be like that for our tide. I think our tide is going out though. So it might it might be like that. It has been like okay but not like you know some are a bit more difficult than others but I had a really good training camp in for better than I am I was in the beginning of the season. So hopefully I will challenge the the guy in front. I think quite a few of you in recently now. Yeah, every we could have raced there. Everybody was there. But yeah, it’s it’s nice to to be in a training camp with everybody training. It keeps the motivation high. How how is the repair gone? Are you are you firing on all cylinders? Got to take it a little bit easy. Yeah, I had to stop for a few days and then get back step by step uh focus on my recovery and I’m healed now. So I was ready to go after Hamburg and also the super train in Canada. So after that I started uh put uh I started to put more kilometers on my training and I started to feel better, more comfortable and yeah. So I did the Chicago super try and it was good. So I’m I’m feeling confident that I’m going to do better this time. Well, I would say um that’s a big move by Hayden doing both races. So will be rather embarrassing if we let him win the second day. as well saying that he might win today. Uh so yeah, we’re going to work hard, but it’s always a hard race no matter what. And it’s fun having them back. I think with them there, it feels like the start list is full. You know, the all the big names are there, and that makes, you know, the podium or the win uh mean even more uh more valuable. And they always make the race exciting with very fast bikes, fast runs. And of course, Matt is probably well and Miguel as well wants to play their cards on the swim to get away straight away. So that’s going to be fun. Yeah. [Music] I think you never sleep that good the day before. The night before I was making a bit more cuz I was watching UTMB. So I was like then Tom won. Yeah, Tom smashed it. So I was after every hour making sure it was all right. That weather was awful. So I heard a storm came in like the very start and everything. So pretty crazy. But yeah, it was a good race to watch. Did you watch any of the T100? I did. Yeah, we were um obviously we were about for the referees and stuff, so it’s good to see and then with Sam doing so well and the boys, you were paying very close attention. So, yeah, it’s good to see him do so well. So, yeah, really pleased for him. Hopefully, that’s the first of many for him. Yeah. Yeah. And you you got any tactics today or you just going to just try and deliver the best I can, mate? And then see where we’re at from there. But it should be fun. Looking forward to it. It’s pretty choppy. Just in a lap now. It’s going to be a tough one condition, please. Matthew Hamilton, number two from Brazil, Miguel Kalo. Number three from Portugal, Vesco Dilasa. Tank stink by a jellyfish. Not nice feeling here. So I cannot take water anymore. I was late. I was late. I didn’t have time to run and swim. Today I had time to do it. Why were you late? Sorry. Why were you late? It’s like a character threat. It is natural. Natural. I cannot fight. It is inside. You can’t change this. It’s not possible. She likes a rush. It’s like my way to do I don’t need to do a line late stride to warm up. It’s just like the stress of being late. It’s enough. Did you get stung as well? Where? Not good.
