Welcome back to our channel. We are back in Versail and today we’re going to be taking you to the apartments of Madame Dempad on. Today we continue to explore the parts of Chat Versai that are not often open to the public but should be on your 2C list when you come here. A few episodes prior, we visited one of the most luxurious apartments at the palace, the one occupied by Madame Dubari, the last favorite of Louis 15th. This time, we’ll be going one floor higher to a smaller but equally significant place, the apartment of the most famous and a long-term friend of the same king, Louis 15th, Maris de Pampadoo. [Music] Similarly to Madame Dahi’s apartment, Madame Dempadu’s quarters were located close to the private apartment of the king, which you can see in a separate episode in the first comment of this video. This placement had a purpose as Louis 15th needed to be able to get to his favorite discreetly. The apartment was initially used by Leuches Dehatru and her sister Leuches Duraguay between 1743 and 1744. However, following Madame Desato’s passing, Louis 15s gave the spaces to Madame Dempad or as she was initially known Jean Antonet Pson. But who was this Jean Antonet? Born in 1721 to a bourgeoa family. Jean Antonet initially became Madame Lenor Deol by marriage in February 1745. She was invited to a masked bowl at Versai in honor of the marriage of Dang Lou Ferdin. Ludan never ruled but was the father of the three kings of France. Louis 16th, Louis 18th and Shah’s 10th. Following their meeting at this bull, Louis 15th fell in love with the young Jean and Antonet and moved her into this apartment. The absence of noble blood earned her many criticisms and greater position at Versai. However, she was quickly recognized for her beauty and intelligence. Jeanette was a cultured woman and regularly attended literary salons where she exchanged ideas and met intellectuals. She was also a trends setter and an istet. In July 1745, the king offered Jean Tonet the domain of Pompadur, effectively giving her the title of La Maris de Pmpaduk. She was officially introduced to the court in September of the same year. For the next 5 years, Madame Dempaduruk stayed in this apartment as the official favorite of Louis 15th. It must be noted that furnishing of the apartments was at the charge of the occupants themselves, giving artistic freedom, although sometimes expensive, to Madame Dempadur and later Madame Dubari in her own apartment to decorate their respective places as they wished. This apartment features her interior cabinet, the reception room, her bedroom, and an anti-chamber. She exercised great influence on the king’s decisions and managed to get her own brother, Marquo Marini, a position of the general director of the king’s buildings. By 1750, Madame de Pompador passed to the status of Louis 15th confidant and moved to the ground floor of the central part of the chatau. A year later, she encouraged the publication of the first two volumes of the encyclopedia of Dior Elan. But her influences and privileges did not stop there. In 1753, Maris de Pmpador became the owner of Leel de today ped the palace of the president of the French Republic. There were other domains that Maris owned or rented including the magnificent chat deto which we have visited a couple of years back. Link in the comment below. Lupit which later famously became the palace of Maranet was effectively built for Jean Antonet although she’d never see it completed. She was behind the creation of the sea porcelain manufacturer which still functions today. The works of plus Louise 15th today plus deacon court were also supported by her. In short, Madame de Pompador did not waste her time enjoying the privileges only, but instead left a significant imprint on the history of France in the way she saw fit. She stayed at Vai close to the 15th until her passing at the young age of 42 from a pulmonary congestion, an event that deeply affected the king. After her passing, her groundf flooror apartments were refitted for the king’s daughters. While the small apartment we are visiting today stays witness to the early years of her stay at this magnificent Palace of [Music] Kings. As we left this private corner of Madame Dempaduk, we walked through a narrow corridor that led us to the back of her apartment. Here we were presented with private wardrobe rooms. [Music] And at the top of the stairs, the living quarters of her maid, Madame de. The small space paints a clearer picture of what their life was like at the time. Notice two beds. The bigger one was for Madame de and the other for her own mate. Yes, you heard that right. A maid had her own maid. Passing above the beautiful K de or the deer court, we made our way to the grand supplementary attic library of Louis 15th which was also used by Louis 16th. It is said that Louis 16th liked to use this grand table which was actually made in 1785 to consult different works he would have out at the moment. After all, books were his passion and he continued to read for as long as he could even during his days of imprisonment. As we made our way back down, we passed by the apartment of Madame Dubari. But as we mentioned earlier, we welcome you to watch the episode specifically dedicated to her. It is a treat. We ask you to remember that Versailles is a city within a city and it’s simply impossible to see it all in a day. So we encourage you to check our channel for more videos from Versail. So thankfully we started with the apartments of Madame Dub Pampadu and because the gate took so much time thankfully because we already visited the apartments of Madame Dubari. So I wasn’t expecting anything but this time the apartments of Madame Dampodu there were so many things to see and I really enjoyed it. I don’t think you can do two at the same time. The apartments of Madame Dampodu and Madame Dubar you cannot do at the same time because there are so many things to see and I think you should do it separately. It’s much better. By the time we reach to Madame Dubar’s apartment and the G was Russian already because we already took 2 hours. I think you should be doing it separately. Overall it was a nice experience for me. I really enjoyed it and I don’t know what Anton thinks about this visit. What Zan is saying basically is correct. You need to be visiting these apartments separately. I loved I loved loved loved loved loved the furniture in the apartment. I absolutely loved it and it’s just overall such a wonderful experience. And one thing I almost forgot to tell you guys, we were informed today that the uh sofa in the library of Madame Dubari’s apartment is soon going to go for restoration because current decor on the sofa, the tapestry is not correspondent of what should be there. So, they’re going to be sending the sofa to the restoration place. And um if you want to see it the way it is now, you can watch our video or you can come here early quickly because it’s going soon. It’s going away soon from here. Um otherwise, you will probably just have to wait until it comes back. And we don’t even know if the library will remain open because normally if they remove something, they might even close it. Yeah. How would they close it? We don’t know. We’ll see. But yeah, idea. And that’s it for today. We hope you like this episode. If you would like to see more of these videos, please don’t forget to like, share, and comment below. And until the next one, [Music]

  1. I love your videos. I have been trying to schedule some of these private tours for the past two to three months. I’ll be going in May and they just aren’t available. I look in the morning. I look in the evening. I don’t know how to schedule one. I talked to you before because I was most interested in Maria Antoinette’s private apartments. You tried to help me, but it’s not working . Any new tips on how to Get tickets to these? It will be my last trip to Paris.

  2. Most tourists traveling in groups rush into the Galerie des Glaces to take selfies, then run to two or three other rooms, and that's it. They have no real idea of the immensity and complexity of the entire site.

  4. Salut Guys! I left a comment yesterday and I see nothing today. Again. Great episode! Love it and thank you for showing and sharing the experience. 🤍👍🌞

  5. Rien de nouveau, mais un commentaire artificiel épouvantable, qui ne sait pas de prononcer les noms correctement. Cet appartement a été filmé à plusieurs reprises avec des commentaires bien plus lucides que cette présentation indigne.

  6. WOW!!!😍 All the opulence and beauty in places that you guys visit and make videos of makes me wonder when did humanity STOPPED making such architectural beauties? Did craftsmanship and artisans just vanished??? I understand it costed a fortune then and it will also cost a fortune now but maybe with 3D using recycled materials we can go back to this?🧐 Anyways, wonderful video, as always! Thanks you lovies!!!💖💖💖

  7. Enjoying the content thank you..but your sweeping through the rooms far to quick. I can barely manage to concentrate on anything. I can understand you are in a tour but you could edit in information about the rooms like fabrics the recreation of these fabrics are the furniture pieces original. If not how did the versailles museum refurnish the rooms. This is information that will make this way more interesting with varying degrees of far better content. You’re speeding through this way to quickly and I’m getting vertigo. I do appreciate the effort but this could be done better with way more information that makes you won’t to know more and watch your other videos.

  9. have gone three times to versailles never knew this wished i had known this before my visits when do they allow visitor on what month thank you your video is beautiful !!!
