The Mosel Valley (Moseltal in German) is one of Germany’s most scenic wine regions, famous for its winding river, steep vineyard slopes, charming medieval villages, and fairy-tale castles. The valley stretches for about 195 km (121 miles) along the Mosel River, starting in France, flowing through Luxembourg, and continuing into western Germany until it meets the Rhine at Koblenz.
