I haven't owned or ridden a bike since my daughter was a kid in early 00's. Found a super clean Univega on Craigslist for $40. Having never heard of this brand before (entire town I grew up in was a hoe Schwinn). I went from, "I know it needs new brakes" to, "this bike was built by Bob and Sue in Japan in 1980…"
Now I'm debating on turning the handlebars back to the curly kind because I miss those lol But seriously, forty bucks. Tires are near perfect, just needs brakes, a bath, and a little oil and she'll be ready to go out on the town.
Who knows, maybe I'll take on a day of Ragbrai next year 🥰
