There you go, i blew up my rear tire while biking home on my hardtail.
I commute on my hardtail as much as I can. Northern Norway has a lot to offer for bikers
Fullsuss since 95 and never looked back
Mate I'm not that excited to go to work
Too much bike for commuting.
But, if you only have one bike and it must be a hardtail MTB then go for it.

I live close to Lyon (50 m to Via Rhona, which allows you to go from Geneva to Mediterranean Sea). I will never go to work with my Orbea Alma : too big risk for accident with cars and to be stolen (main risk by far in France… sadly… don't even dare to use it to buy a baguette).
Fortunately, I have the chance to work remotely most of the time so I can ride it more or less daily.
I decided to commute to the gym on my bike and it got stolen from outside the gym. Is it impossible to use a bike for anything other than leisure in the world we live in now?
after more then 10years i buyed a hardtail like 2months ago , a Roscoe 9 in the matte quicksand / olive faid , use it as a commuter since , love to ride it and the look of it

why aren't more "comfortable" bars ever shown? a slight pull-back, or shallow gravel drops seem better alternates, no? flat bars are but one, but….sheesh, that's all one sees! haaa
In Georgia if it's 90plus I'm just riding home.Tough to ride up a steep hill in humid 90+ Temps.
I have added new 29” slicks today from WTB and lemme tell ya!!! A giant revel mtb with street tires and handlebar riser with a nice seat and I’m hopping curbs and potholes and doing about 16mph having a blast around New Orleans on and off road. Hard til baby yeah. And no hands!
Nope, won't ride my Orbea to work, otherwise in short time won't have Orbea at all.
Yes! This is my way of transport to school.
My current hardtail isnt super expensive but its still got enough on it to where id be pretty sad if it was stolen. My perfect commuter is an xc hardtail with your parts bin thrown at it so that it doesn't look as appealing
