  1. Cycling is a team sport. Ayuso has no place in the modern peloton with his attitude and lack of team focus. Every other team would be wise to steer clear of his services. As Horner said, “I hope you don’t have teammates like yourself” wherever he goes, if anywhere else after essentially being fired from UAE today.

  2. The mistake was taking him to the Vuelta. On paper, he looks like the perfect rider — raw power, natural talent, a body built for the toughest climbs. But cycling is not just about numbers or physiology. It’s a sport of loyalty, sacrifice, and respect for the jersey you wear. You push yourself to the limit, not for your own glory, but for the team that carries you. And that’s where he fails. He may have the legs of a champion, but without the heart of a teammate, he will never be more than a wasted talent.

  3. Lidl Trek shouldn't touch him with a barge pole, he's not a team player. UAE have del Toro and appear to be looking after him well, probably because they know which one is the bigger talent. Adios Juan.

  4. Ayuso is not a team player and going to cause trouble for Trek definitely not a rider to sign, similar to Almeida who should not remain in UAE team….

  5. Everyone's dunking on Almeida, but I will cut him some slack. When I was 22, and I got a taste of what I might be good at, I thought I was king of the world. Everyone who's 22 is an idiot.

  6. This guy is dirty and disloyal. It's been a while since I've seen a rider as lowly as Ayuso, if you can even call him a rider. He pretends to be down, falling behind just to avoid helping the team. Always mediocre.

  7. Juan Ayuso was been a winner and a líder since he was a cadet, he never knew other way on the teams where he raced ! Wherever he goes he never will be a teammate that you can count with, at least for the next decade!!!
