    Extended Highlights: 100th Minute Ngumoha Winner! Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool



    Watch extended highlights from St James’ Park as 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha came off the bench to score in the 10th minute of added time to provide Liverpool with a dramatic win.
    Ryan Gravenberch put Liverpool 1-0 up in the 35th minute, ahead of the Magpies going down to 10 men on the stroke of half-time when Anthony Gordon was given a red card. Though Hugo Ekitike made it 2-0 moments after the restart, Newcastle levelled through Bruno Guimaraes and William Osula. But up stepped Premier League debutant Ngumoha off the bench to restore Liverpool’s lead and clinch the three points.

      After working so hard to get it back to 2-2, it's disappointing how Newcastle managed that moment. It should have been safety first, especially at the flippin 10th min of added time. Two banks of four it should have been and one upfront. Instead it was line of three in midfield for that last play, and by the time Chiesa got it, it was a 4 v 3 for Liverpool's attackers. Terrible

      I’m Canadian, so you’ll have to excuse me for saying “soccer,” but this has to be one of the greatest games I’ve ever witnessed. I don’t claim to know the finer points of the sport, but even I could see this was more than just a match—it was a master class in athleticism, fueled by sheer heart and unshakable determination. The drama was so intense that it could have made theatre productions from entire decades jealous. And just when it couldn’t possibly get better, a kid—an actual kid—walks onto the pitch and smashes in a goal so good it felt scripted. You can’t make this stuff up.
