Definitely a complete lie on top speed, my 22 plate 11bhp Sym Orbit 3 which weighs 115kg, tops out at 62mph downhill on GPS.
Only the full fat 13-15bhp bikes can really handle a bigger gear on the rear axle to reach over 65 consistently without a big loss in acceleration.
I have this same scooter, I completely agree with all the points you made in the review. As a man with extra ballast weight I have only been able to get to just over 60mph. Great review 👍
6' with 30" inside leg, have ridden 40 years, xt yamahas GS 550/850 gsx1100 ez and 500/750 triumphs real davtona/tigers/bonnevilles no problem with height or weight, what is it with the new bikes with the weight and height? have a scram 411 at the minute, high and heavy compared to a xt/xl 500 WTF. keep up the good work mate enjoy the reviews, and nice/interesting to see what the chinese manufacturers are doing. was thinking of a voge rally or the mondial 125c for the dirt but thanks to your reasonable inside leg and light weight (compared to me) it gives me an idea on things worth trying.
They always over egg the pudding when it comes to top speed. But it looks nice and I’m sure it would be perfect for someone. Great review as always. ❤
It could be great if you had access to Peugeot tweet 125 2025/24 it's interesting scooter tho
Lexmoto are great at 2 thing putting super heavy Rollers in there scoots and weak springs on the clutch, you can hear the motor bogging down.
2021 very good example, about £1200 max would be my guess.
I nearly purchased this scooter when I was looking for a maxi one recently. I decided to go for a used Honda Forza 125 2016 for £1800 full service history. Runs like a brand new bike and will do just under 70MPH with my 6ft and chubster self on 😅. Glad I made that decision because the Lexmoto would barely do over 50 with me on. 😂
😂 That was almost perfect timing @9:22 The sound of a spanner dropping ….. Thought you had squashed your "Rollers" When getting on that seat 😅
Awww no
I’d never have a Chinese brand again
I had a sym jet 14 for just over 6 months
Worst bike ever.
So will never trust a Chinese brand again
Good review Gilly, looks a nice scoot, great for commuting and traffic busting and saving lots of money on fuel.
I think if you’r on a low budget but you fancy a new unused bike then Lexmoto and the like offer you a good opportunity to do just that and the quality is a lot better than how they were 15 years ago when they started to appear on the market.
Speed wise it’s not very quick is it, 53 flat out isn’t good from a 125 maxi scoot, my 20 yr old Honda Lead 100 with 9bho will do 45 flat out on the flat with my 17 stone heft on it so it’s showing that up, come on
China speed up your bikes!
Been watching your vidoes for a while buddy. Really informative so thank you. Im totally new to this arena and at 53, doing my CBT in a couple of weeks so looking for a 125 Scooter around the £2k mark. Lots of chinese bikes out there that seem good value on thenfront of it. Have you had chance to ride a Neco Borsalino 125cc? Looks the biz as a retro but interested to know an exoerienced riders througts on its perfomance. Cheers Gilly.
What a lovely looking scooter. It's a shame about its BHP !! I just don't get it. Manufacturers, in my humble opinion, should be pushing the boundaries to the limit, IE 15bhp. It would be a much more attractive scooter 😊 Re it's punch
I had a look on GOV uk and the number plate doesn't exist.
What's the catche?
66mph on a dynamo or rolling road, not out in the real world with wind, rider weight and hills to deal with.
