OUCH!!! The day began with some light-hearted nerves, but tonight I am feeling sore, wobbly, and battered around the head. Not a fun day in the slightest! I’ll give you a cost breakdown of what this surgery cost in a future episode.

Would you enjoy a village life in France? Our lifestyle channel shares our version of frugal retirement and a balanced life. Mainly for over-40s, over-50s & over-60s, our episodes include normal daily events, painting and artistic endeavours with both Deborah and Mark, occasional visits to historic French villages-towns-landmarks, some cycling and ‘outdoorsy things’ with Mark, and increasingly less-frequent adventures in renovating our centuries-old house.
After moving permanently to France from Australia in 2016, American-born Deborah and British-born Mark now enjoy a low-stress and happy life in beautiful northern France.
We’re young-at-heart artists and artisans, designers, photographers. Deborah has a background in writing, editing, journalism, and psychology. Mark spent decades in the building trades, so we’re serial renovators of run-down houses in the USA, Australia, and now France. Mark is also a very talented artist and creator.
We have lots of plans for the upcoming months and years, so why not join us!

Gads — YouTube is having a hissy-fit about loading videos tonight. This tiny video describes my eye surgery day — but it's not overly graphic description-wise. Bye for now!
What an ordeal! I hope you recover fully quickly. 🙏
Wish you a quick recovery!
I'm sorry you had that experience. I had eye surgery for cataracts on one eye. Dr put an IV in arm to relax me and put eye drops to numb my eye. Took 15 min or less to complete. But I was nervous too
I almost changed my mind but went through with it. I can see much better now.
Hope you recover well 🙏
Feel better, sorry you had a rough experience.
God Bless You ❤️❤️💕
Sending you healing energy. Feel better soon. ❤
