We want to hear from you! What's the one thing you wish you had known when you first started cycling? Let us know in the comments below!
Si’s “Your calf muscles look so good!” comment when sitting on is a great life tip.
I was doing the Haute Route Alps a few years ago and while climbing Col de la Madeleine, the eventual female winner was on my wheel and she said to me “You’re calves look incredible!”
It was an instant 50watt boost and to this day it’s the nicest thing a woman has ever said to me.

"No rights or wrongs"?? Si c'mon man. Been riding for 48 years and from day 1 in the 70s it was beaten in to me… if you want to sit on someone's wheel on a training ride, announce yourself and ask if it's ok, and do a turn or three. To sit on someone unannounced or to say nothing when you're found out is a cardinal sin. Just because i pass you, it's not an invitation to jump on my wheel and get a free ride. When i see this happen, I slowly turn the screw until I'm alone again. Always, always ALWAYS ask permission to sit on.
Good luck with ZRL, my team won the C pen last year for the finals. I know the categories are different this time around but I don’t intend on relinquishing my title. 🫡😝

Is Connor going for the “Wolverine” look? 😮
My mum introduced me to the best aspect of cycling when I was 12.
A leisurely ride to the Ice cream parlour. That was Henley in Arden 10 miles away.
Now at 65, the Ice cream parlours are Flavours in Evesham, 28 miles away, Snugbury's, Nantwich, 70 miles away and Milk Maids, Bolton, 95 miles away.
Caption contest: oh no, hope my breath doesn’t smell for the interviews.
I judge cyclists as unfriendly because as I greet oncoming cyclists or at the traffic lights, I seldom get a smile, wave or hi back!

#captioncompetition It was talc i used to put the inner tube in my bars …. honest.
why do you roadies prefer a 1x these days? isn't roadbiking the best possible type of cycling for a 3x or 2x? I'm a noob mtb guy on a 3×9 shimano and I love it, just not so much on drop-offs and the usual mud getting on the front derailleur
I have a garage door opener in my handlebars 😎
Hi GCN,
I've loved your videos for years—there's always something for everyone, no matter what kind of riding you're into!
As for video ideas, once winter hits in my area, one of my goals is to build a bike from the frame up. Possibly with a new frame and parts or even just disassembling my current bike and putting it back together. I think it could make for an interesting episode—something that covers the tools and knowledge needed to take on a project like that. It might be more suited for GCN Tech, but a video with some tips, tricks, and common pitfalls to avoid would be incredibly helpful.
Just wanted to throw the idea out there. Keep up the awesome work—cheers!
The inner tube stuffed into the handlebars…I laughed so hard I cried. What kind of madman/woman came up with this idea?
Y’all did I miss something… Where is Hank?
I took a taxi home with my bike once, after getting 3 flats on a single ride.
About watching TdFF: watching women's cycling is awesome! I catch as much women's world tour as I am able. Quality racing from quality athletes. So many great personalities in the peloton.
Just a minor point for Simon 😊, down here in South Wales in the vale of Glamorgan we have had less rain than across the bridge 😏
