Yesterday was my first NBD in 30 years. I picked up a Kona Dew (it has rim brakes, so is at least 15 years old) to replace my 30-year-old Trek 830. It's a small frame (I'm 5'7") and is roughly the same height as my Trek, but the frame length is an inch and a bit shorter, and the stem is shorter and at a higher angle, meaning that I'm riding more upright than I'm used to.

So I plan to get a longer, shallower stem, and I understand I can possibly move the saddle back somewhat, which I'll attempt when I switch the saddle from the old bike to the new.

Curious if there were any other options around to make my position more forward and "aero," though I recognize that a hybrid/commuter isn't necessarily supposed to be aerodynamic. Different handlebars, not just stem? I have some bar ends I wouldn't mind sticking inboard of the brakes and shifters.

I'm open to any ideas. Having just bought this I don't have the budget to get a bike with a larger frame, but if that's what's needed I can work toward that.

Thanks!
