Marcelo Bielsa ❤❤
i like bamford, hed do well at Wrexham if he could take a wage drop.
Viva Marcelo Bielsa. And so decent of Bamford to go to meet Bielsa to say a personal goodbye. MOT
ALAW we're massive
I need the full eps uploaded….could sit and watch this for hours and have done!! Cheers Ben!!
Great podcast Lads 👏 so happy you got pat on! He was wrong saying 4 of the Gray family have played for Leeds though. Eddie, Frank, Andy, Archie, and Harry have all played for us 👍
Bielsa is god
I heard Patrick Bamford will be taking over Gary linekars job at the BBC, he’ll be a better pundit than player.
Bamford to Wrexham 😆
I love patrick bamford
Marcelo Bielsa said that the problem was that our team had to play at 100 per cent every game.Clearly the players he had weren't capable of this,so cracks would appear. Also he had a blueprint of play which he wouldn't deflect from. And he continually played Dan James at cf.His player pool was so shallow they disappeared down the plughole.
if the board backed biesla , we could of been where villa are now easily, some of the players he wanted have gone on to be super stars and when he wanted them they were cheap !
Love it
Du du da Wilder is wanka
There’s so much mystery with Bielsa and his style of football was so exciting to watch, his work ethic alongside his values in life are what made him so popular. If anyone wants to know more about him, just read “And it was beautiful by Phil Hay” just goes in to detail about who Bielsa was, where he came from and his true love for the game. Absolute legend and he’s always welcome at Leeds 🙌🏻
Where is the full podcast?
When the board ask all the senior players should we keep beilsa only two voted to keep him pat and coops
Ben can you get your nonce mate to cover up his shit tattoos please – looks like he's let his kid draw on him
Marcelo Bielsa 💙💛🤍 we love you
Leeds fan here, I want to hear more! Bamford – give us as much knowledge about his tactics, philosophies, routines as possible. How do we emulate it? Life goal to be part of something like that. It was a movement that inspired everyone in the city!
bielsa was such a shock to everyone involved at leeds where despite his reputation people didnt really know what to expect, we'd heard the rumours about murder ball and double or triple training sessions but he took a bang average squad of players that had limped to 13th the previous season and transformed them…1st game of the new season was against stoke who many fancied for promotion but we blitzed them playing a style of football not seen since the 70s and people immediately fell in love with it….PB is more than your average footballer that has obsessed with the game since birth, he's intelligent, well spoken and actually answers questions rather than just soundbites…his style of play and work ethic mirrored bielsas and thats why they were superb for each other
i went from shouting crap at him in Home park on the last game of the season to watching him on the fozcast LOL got to love bamford sometimes
I don't get this surprise package and teams working us out thing. Bielsa had been a manager for 30 years. He was the Argentina and Chile coach. He knocked Man United out of the Europa League with Bilbao. He was at Marseille. He was with Leeds for three seasons. With all the analysts Premier League teams have are you telling me no one could work out a strategy of how to play against a Bielsa team until the second Premier League season? Why have Man City struggled this season? Have people finally figured out how to play against Pep? The reality is that even in the first three years we came up against teams who made it difficult. No matter what tactics you use you have to play better than the opposition. The drop off was down to a injuries and a loss of form and confidence. It happens to lots of teams. Bielsa was doing a really good job to keep us out of the bottom three and should get credit for that. Other managers get credit for keeping clubs up but it seems Bielsa is judged to a different standard.
What no one talks about by the way is playing the top six three times in a week, twice. I've never known fixtures like it.
Love Bamford . Love Bielsa #ALAW #MOT
Bielsa for me was much more just about football, he was an absolute gentleman, he got supporters from all over the world talking about Leeds United win loose or draw. He will never be forgotten by Leeds Supports a LEGEND
Paddy ..Bad Eduction
Our generation were so so lucky to be around when bielsa was manager,it must of being like when Don revie was in charge..amazing
Bielsa transcended football, if you're not a Leeds fan, or a fan of a club he has managed, then you may never understand. It wasn't about his managing, or his style, it was so, so much more.
Biesla to RANGERS.49ers make it happen.
Im sure the first game back in the Prem was a Saturday afternoon not Friday night from memory
It doesn't suprise me one bit that Tom's using chatGPT to write his questions
He seems like a nice boy.
Posh enough to cry in his car outside the Burnley training ground because we wouldn't give him a starting spot.
Most bizarre sacking of a manager ever? You really don't know Leeds! 😂🤍💛💙
You have people in your life who hold great influence over you and who you never forget.
Bielsa was clearly a special man, both for his footballing knowledge and passion as well as his unique character.
Those years were incredible for us Leeds fans.
I watched us lose games yet was always entertained.
The games that got in the sack was a perfect storm which Pat references:
Key players absent
Top level teams
Poor form
To play his system you needed top class players or lesser players playing at 120%.
Marcelo's time at the Club will NEVER be forgotten.
Id literally sell my child to have Bielsa back at Leeds
Watching PSG run through Inter last night in the UCL final reminded me so much of "Bielsa ball" at it's peak. This man understood that football is meant to entertain the fans first and foremost. He managed without fear and with an unprecedented humility. As a fan, I visited and spoke with him personally after we won promotion to the EPL to thank him and he surpassed all of my expectations of him as a human being. A bonafide "Legend"
Loved Bielsa and would have him back in a second, all he needed to do was switch that man marking system occasionally
One word for Bielsa
LEGEND
What the fuck is the AI section? That is absolutely honking podcasting that, do some research man
Love Bielsa to this day but my favourite Leeds manager was Dave Hockaday 😂😂😂 nah sgt Wilko still the highlight of supporting Leeds last 1st Division champions and snatched it from under the other team clutches aswell pity we let cantona go to them and look what happened nevermind eh
Leeds supporter mot a fan of Belisa and never was. Over rated made same mistakes week in week out, spent a lot of money and had four years to turn us into a joke. In farke we trust
"I'm not posh but my mom had a beauty salon and my dad was an architect". Well, if that isn't the definition of posh, I don't know. His mom made sure he looked his best, and his dad made sure they lived their best. In any case, Bamford seems like a good dude, despite his ridiculous contract at Leeds, which to be fair, anyone would be happy with.
If your mum is self employed and your dad is an architect, that’s pretty posh.
