I’ve been on a single-speed for ~10 years and I’m ready to upgrade to something I can take out of the city for longer rides (100 km+). From what I’ve read, the Trek Domane is a good value for endurance-style road riding.

The bike I’m considering has the following specs:
• Model/size: Trek Domane AL 4 Disc, size 56
• Drivetrain: Shimano Tiagra 2×10 (50/34; 11–32)
• Brakes: Shimano hydraulic discs
• Tires: 700×32 (tubeless)
• Condition: very clean, regularly serviced
• Price: $1,600 (firm)

Is this a good buy for a first road/endurance bike? If not, what would you suggest in a similar budget? I’m still riding around the city a lot, so I’m leaning toward endurance-style road bikes rather than a pure race setup because of our rough roads.

Thanks!
