Day 4 of our bike ride and we’ve crossed the Loire, cycling from Blain to Bouin…

We set off after breakfast and pedalled down along the green back-roads of Brittany, on our way to the little ferry to cross the Loire at Couëron.

It was so quiet that we had to check it wasn’t a Bank Holiday, but no, it was just quiet.
.
We caught the ferry and crossed the river with a little fanfare on my mind, as it’s such a big waypoint on our route, stopping for lunch before heading down into the vast, open landscape of the Vendée…
.
Another stunning day, ending with a perfect evening with friends in the heart of the salt-marshes, celebrating our first 300km with wine, good food and the most beautiful sunset
.
A day off today, on again tomorrow…
