Looking for a fun family day out in Bristol or Bath? 🚲 The Bristol to Bath Railway Path is the perfect cycling adventure — a 13-mile route filled with history, countryside views, and hidden gems along the way.
This August, with taxi work a little quieter, me, my wife, and our son Tim swapped four wheels for two and explored this famous cycle path. Here’s what we discovered:
✅ Warmley Station Stop – Ice cream break at the old railway station 🍦
✅ Heritage Train Ride – A short-ride train still taking passengers a few stops up and back, keeping the railway spirit alive 🚂
✅ Countryside Views – Watching a combine harvester cutting through golden rye 🌾
✅ Exploring Bath – Wandering through historic streets and finding an authentic pizzeria 🍕
✅ Luxury Train Carriage Restaurant – At Bath station, we saw an old carriage transformed into a fine-dining experience 🍷
We finished our adventure with a relaxing coffee ☕ and caught the train back to Bristol — tired but full of great memories. A brilliant family day out! ❤️
📍 If you’re planning a visit, the Bristol to Bath cycle path is ideal for families, couples, and anyone looking for a scenic ride with a touch of history.
