It’s 9 days to go before the European Junior Cycling Tour Assen, and today was my first ride in the Netherlands!
I headed out to recon Stage 2 of the race – a 5.2 km loop, but things got off to a rough start with a flat tire in the very first kilometer. Quick fix, and I was back rolling to finish my intervals and tempo training right on the race course.

The best part? I rode back to our place on the bike – one of the coolest things about cycling in the Netherlands. Smooth roads, bike lanes everywhere, and you can literally get from A to B on two wheels.

This is just the beginning – stay tuned for daily videos from Tour Assen 2025, behind-the-scenes moments, and full race coverage coming soon!

Whether you’re a junior racer, a cycling fan, or just love exploring new places on two wheels, this week is packed with action, scenery, and racing vibes from the Netherlands!
