Winning submission for Crankworx Whistler’s Deep Summer photo contest 2025. Hector is a 32-year-old rider, photographer, and creative from Barcelona, Spain. His dream as a teenager was to become a professional Dirt Jumper, but suffered many injuries and couldn’t continue riding at a high level. While recovering from knee surgery, he bought a cheap film camera and a book that taught him the basics of photography. Since 2013, he’s been utilizing diverse mediums to shed light on the underserved disciplines of mountain biking, documenting and showcasing its culture and lifestyle from his own perspective.
