I built myself a road bike about a year ago. Since I built it, it’s done about 1000k. It’s just not right for me: not so stable, a bit aggressive. Mostly though, it’s just not comfortable over long distances and doesn’t handle so well on deformed English country lanes. I find that I use my track bike for short training rides and my surly lht for long slow days in the saddle…. The road bike kind of languishes.
So I’m thinking of swapping the frame out. I think I want an audax frame- pref with flat mount disc brakes, 700cc wheels, standard BB, 12×142 axles.
I’ve looked at the bombtrack one and will also look at Thorn, Condor, Spa.. does anyone have any other recommendations of specific frames or brands I should look at?
