I bought this Vinec Ventura yesterday off Facebook Marketplace place. I paid €30 for it, the guy was originally asking €80. I'm guessing looking at the components it dates to the 1970's. Brown Brothers, the manufacturers I believe went out of business in the early 1980's.
Unfortnately it's too small for me, I should have asked about the size before I drove two hours to buy it but for €30 I couldn't leave it. It's in pretty good shape. One of the brake leavers needs replacing, it needs new tyres and the chain, I have no idea what's been used to lubricate the chain but it seems like treacle, needs a good clean.
My plan is to fix what needs fixing, give it a good polish to get it shining and then it give it to one of my smaller friends as a Christmas present.
