Unlike the famous 48 hairpins of the Stelvio, the Jaufenpass with an elevation of 2,094 meters (6,870 feet) offers a different kind of thrill. The road connects the towns of Sterzing/Vipiteno with St. Leonhard in Passeier. It’s known for its excellent asphalt quality and a total of around 20 hairpin bends spread across both sides of the pass.

The ride is characterized by its flowing rhythm and a maximum gradient of up to 12%, making it a joy for motorcyclists who prefer a fast, scenic ascent over a series of tight turns. The road winds beautifully through alpine meadows and dense forests, with ample opportunities for stunning panoramic views.
